The Early Journey
Born on January 13, 1978, in Winneba, Ghana, Kofi Okyere Darko (originally named Richard Aidoo) grew up with strong family foundations. His father, James Aidoo, served as a Deputy Director of Ghana Prisons, while his mother, Margaret Aidoo, was a founding member of the 31 December Women's Movement.
KOD's educational path took him from local schools in Winneba to Nifa Secondary School in Adukrom. His passion for communication led him to the Ghana Institute of Journalism, where he earned his degree. Later, he furthered his education with an MA in Public Relations from UniMAC (formerly GIJ).
His first exposure to the entertainment industry came during his school days when he sold cassettes and CDs for Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, laying the foundation for his future in media and entertainment.
